JDP Virtual Transition Procedures
If your child is currently on the virtual platform and wishes to return to face to face instruction, they will have the opportunity to do so for Semester 2. We will begin this process on this Thursday, January 7th to Thursday, January 14th. During this window, you can call the Educational Media Center @ 337-824-0597 or the School Board Office @ 337-824-1834. Once this request is received, your child's school counselor will be notified. The school counselor will then contact you to notify you when your child can return to their respective school campus for face to face instruction. Please do not send your child to school until you hear from their counselor. Counselors have to create a course schedule for your child and strategically place them in a classroom to adhere to safety protocols.
Also, If you have students that are currently attending school face to face, but are requesting the virtual platform, please contact Mr. Gilbeaux, Child Welfare and Attendance for approval.
For students who are already "Virtual Only" and wish to remain "Virtual Only," nothing needs to be done at this time. Second semester courses will automatically load for these students.
