Attention Parents of virtual students in grades Pre-K-8:
The end of the 1st 9 wks. grading period is upon us. Due to the interruption of our school operations because of Hurricane Delta, we are going to reschedule the opportunity for students to opt out of the virtual platform. In addition, not only will we offer this opportunity to students in grades Pre-K- 5, we will extend this opportunity to students in grades 6-8 as well. The window for opting your child out the virtual platform and back to a face-to face setting will begin Monday Oct. 19 and end Friday Oct. 23.
Please follow this procedure:
1. Contact Jeff Davis Media Center @ 337-824-0597 or Jeff Davis School Board @ 337-824-1834. You must speak to someone at either of these locations. Please do not leave a message. Once your request has been made for your child to return to a face to face setting, your child's school will be notified. The school counselor will contact you to let you know what day your child can return to campus. Please do not bring or send your child back on campus until you have been notified.
2. Please understand that whatever grades your child has earned while on the virtual platform will be reflected in their overall grade for the 1st semester of the 2019-2020 school year per our district grading guidance for this hybrid schedule. More guidance about grading decisions for this school year can be clarified by contacting your child's school.
