The Other Day in Biology Class

The other day in Biology class, I learned about the functions of a cell.  Of course, everything begins with the nucleus, which controls everything in a cell.  I also know that Chip knows the difference between the two types of endoplasmic reticulum, which is that the rough ER has ribosomes and the smooth ER doesn’t.  It occurred to me that only a plant cell has a cell wall, but an animal cell and a plant cell both have a cell membrane, which is semi permeable.  I don’t know why I am so interested in the mitochondria so much, but it’s probably because it’s the “powerhouse” of the cell.
