Discipline Plan

The faculty & staff of Elton High School
have implemented a discipline plan entitled
School-Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS).
The goal of this plan
is to instill and reward positive student behavior.
The following information will
detail the components of this plan. If you have any questions or concerns,
please call EHS
and ask to speak to one of our administrators. The school number is 337)
584-2991.
Thank you for your interest in this policy.
Student Expectations are to observe the following:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
These expectations will be observed throughout the school including the following:
Bus
Cafeteria
Classroom
Gym
Hallways & Sidewalks
Outdoors & Commons
Restrooms
Use of discipline notes & a tracking chart will be used.
*Infractions will be tracked per semester instead of per six weeks.
*Clean slate at mid-term (January 8, 2009)
Consequences for not following SWPBS
are the following:
1st infraction
-set up tracking chart for student
-record date of 1st incident on chart
-file pink copy in
card file alphabetically
2nd infraction
-call parent to inform them of the incident OR -fill out parent
letter, make a file copy,
and mail letter to parents
-record date of second
incident
-file copy of letter in
binder OR make a notation on chart of call to parents
-staple pink copy to the
first one in file box
3rd infraction
-record date of infraction on chart
-fill out state
discipline form
-staple three pink
copies to state discipline form
-send forms to Mr. Treme in the office
4th infraction (and all subsequent ones)
-record date of infraction on chart
-fill out state
discipline form
-attach pink copy
to state discipline form
-send forms to
Mr. Treme in the office
Positive Behavior Incentives
These are behaviors that will be rewarded with teepee tokens
that may be redeemed for various rewards.
(Each item below is rewarded with one Teepee Token per six weeks)
Honor roll for the six weeks
No discipline write ups
No dress code violations
No absentees
No tardies
Caught being good
Who keeps track of this and dispenses tokens?

(Each teacher will have three (3) tokens to give out per six weeks.)
